RAMS

The RAMS is an integrated term encompassing Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety, focusing on a system's long-term operational characteristics. These characteristics are achieved through the application of established engineering concepts, methods, tools, and techniques throughout a system's life cycle. The RAMS of a system can be characterized as qualitative and quantitative indicator of the degree that the system, or its sub-systems and components, can be relied upon to function as specified, be available over a period of time and are safe.

Necessity

  • Ensures customer satisfaction by developing safe and reliable products based on international railway standards

  • Guarantees stable delivery of systems and subsystems through professionally organized installation, testing, and verification processes

  • Enables expanded application by managing the reliability and safety of products during operational stages

Research Focus

  • Continuous improvement of RAMS procedures and management systems to achieve required RAMS indicators for in-house developed products

  • Structured, planned research to meet RAMS requirements in domestic and international railway projects, covering installation, testing, and operational stages

  • Ongoing monitoring of deployed products to enhance reliability and safety through real-world performance feedback

Procedure

Through optimized RAMS procedures based on international railway standards, DAEATI objectively assures the reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety of the software and systems it develops and delivers.
