IOT-BASED SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WITH AI

To enhance railway safety, IoT (Internet of Things), AI (Artificial Intelligence) and big data technologies are integrated and applied to build an advanced safety monitoring system. Utilizing wired and wireless communication infrastructure, the system enables real-time monitoring and AI-based prediction, classification and clustering of railway facilities. It collects both structured data (e.g., text, sensor data) and unstructured data (e.g., sound, video, images), and processes them through data refinement, labeling, verification, training, and storage to provide accident prediction capabilities.

Features

A system integrating IoT and AI that collects various sensor data from railway facilities, analyzes it using AI to predict and automatically assess potential accident risks and immediately notifies operators via alarms and SMS when anomalies are detected.

Configuration

Composed of IoT devices for railway facility sensor data collection, network infrastructure for data transmission (LTE-R, optical communication), an AI system for data storage and analysis and an integrated control platform for displaying analyzed results.

Functions

Provides anomaly detection and early warning for facilities, predictive maintenance (e.g., equipment replacement or service timing) through AI analysis of collected big data, and integrated alarm and response features.

Effects

  • Enhanced Safety
Reduces accidents and improves worker safety by minimizing the need for on-site inspections in hazardous areas through remote monitoring.

  • Improved Efficiency
Enables immediate situational awareness through high-speed, real-time transmission of data and voice.

  • Reduced Operating Costs
Lowers maintenance costs by minimizing unnecessary servicing through predictive maintenance.

  • Expected Benefits
Minimizes on-site accidents through real-time anomaly detection and improves maintenance strategies by enabling digital transformation (DX) and big data analysis in the railway sector.
