ELECTRONIC LEVEL CROSSING

A centralized control system for railroad level crossing safety equipment—such as barriers, warning devices and operational status indicators—installed at intersections where railways and roads cross. It interfaces with the station interface device to transmit operational and fault status of the crossing providing operators with real-time alarm and status information.

Features

  • Operates based on the fail-safe principle, ensuring protective response in the event of system failure or warning signal loss

  • The level crossing controller can be configured to select the appropriate crossing type (single or double track, one-way or two-way, track circuit or controller-based) based on the actual field conditions.

  • Composed of redundant control, monitoring and communication modules with built-in self-diagnostic functions

  • Integrated GPS module for standard time synchronization

  • The level crossing controller stores all status and fault information related to maintenance activities, and allows for easy backup to external storage devices as well as verification through a replay program.

  • Failure logs for warning devices can be retrieved and analyzed by month, day and hour including fault counts and summaries

  • The level crossing controller communicates with the Electrical Equipment Technical Support System, enabling real-time monitoring of the operational status of level crossing safety equipment, fault information, and battery BMS data within the station.

  • Equipped with protection devices against external impacts such as lightning strikes and abnormal voltage

  • Verifies barrier operation for each alarm control unit

  • Capable of monitoring and controlling faults such as no alarm and continuous alarm conditions.

  • Obstruction Detection within the Crossing Area Possible via LiDAR Sensor
