Platform Screen Door Supervision System

PSD

The Platform Screen Door (PSD) Monitoring System is a remote operation system designed to monitor and control the operation and status of platform screen doors in subways or mainline stations to ensure passenger safety.

The primary objective of the system is to secure smooth train operations and passenger safety, while also establishing a rapid response mechanism in case of emergencies such as PSD malfunctions or fires.

Features

Platform Screen Door Monitoring

  • Collection and storage of data related to PSD operation

  • Preparation of various data and statistical information for operation and maintenance

  • Display of overall PSD information and status of equipment at each station

Object Detection and Recognition Function

  • Building of training data through deep learning (AI) network training and labeling

  • Real-time detection of PSD opening/closing, object detection and recognition (items, people, animals), and monitoring of situations caused by object behavior (door entrapment, pushing)

  • Expandability to detect and recognize various situations using the technology in the future

Remote Monitoring of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

  • Monitoring of UPS operation status for PSD power facilities in stations

  • Indication of UPS failure on the remote UPS monitoring device

  • Monitoring function available for both existing and new UPS systems

Display of General/Branch Station CCTV Video

  • Display of PSD video on large monitors through automatic/manual module method

  • Pop-up display of relevant station PSD CCTV video based on conditions

  • Sequential display of video for general and branch line stations

Configuration

The platform screen door control system consists of a track entry management system, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) remote monitoring, and CCTV monitoring system. Designed with safety, stability, and scalability in mind, the PSD control system ensures optimal performance for safe and efficient operation.

Function

When maintenance personnel need to perform work on the track, the maintenance supervisor inputs the maintenance schedule into the track entry terminal. This information is then automatically displayed on the operation control console and LDP through the track entry management system, to inform train drivers and station staff.
